Either way, if jumping the solenoid straight to power doesn't crank the engine, then either the solenoid wire is bad, the batt+ is bad the starter motor is bad or possibly a ground, but that ones not very likely.

On your truck, that's the clutch switch, the ignition switch, and possibly a neutral safety switch on the transmission (but I'm not sure on that tranny).
