Pure Limewash is normally reserved for internal use, and Casein and Tallow Bound Limewash are external grades, as the casein and tallow improve rain-shedding. WebTallow Bound Limewash Back A traditional natural permeable paint for the decoration of lime renders, limestone, soft brick and porous building materials. Tallow is added to the hot slaking lime to improve the rain-shedding properties. It is less permeable than both Pure Limewash and Casein Limewash.
